Start of a new beginning: Chasity Posey Photography
Well, if you know me you know that I love taking pictures. My family calls it an obsession & I would have to agree!! This obsession is not something new, I have always been this way. I think my love for photography comes from two people:
1) GOD 2) MOM. Let me explain.
#1--God, I know that he put the desire in my heart for photography because when I pickup that camera I forget about everything else & it's as if the world just stops & I see things that I would normally pass by without a second glimpse. It's as if it brings me closer to him when I am able to capture his creation & the emotion that goes with it. It honestly makes my soul jump with joy when I focus my lens & hear that shutter click :)
#2--Mom, my mom has always taken pictures of my me, my brother & our family. No joke we have boxes & boxes & boxes of pictures chronicling every aspect of our lives!! At an early age she showed & allowed me to play with her camera, from then on I was hooked! I remember the first camera she bought me was for christmas--Canon SureShot. Boy, I thought I was hot stuff with that camera, I took it everywhere & took photos of everything (I'm sure she spent a fortune getting all that film developed---yes this was before digital). I never stopped taking photos but when my son Alex was born, mom got me a digital camera & that is when I began to see things in a different light so to speak. For the first time I understood why mom took a gazillion photos of me & my brother!! I realized photography is part of who I am & who God made me!!
Having said all that I wanted to let you know that I have starting taking photos of more than just my family ( and yes they are very happy about this because now I will leave them alone). This blog is intended to give you a sneak peak of what I'm up to-----ENJOY!!
